Issue 16: Family

Invitation for Reader Submission

Some Important Information

Online submissions will open June 6th and close July 6th. Complete the form on the following page to submit your entry.

This submission form only requires a short summary of your story. If it looks like your story might be a good fit for Issue 16, an editor will reach out and discuss the potential for a full-length story.

This is not a contest. You don’t have to be an award-winning writer or a quilt “sewlebrity” for your story to be considered. We are looking for true stories about quilts and family that will move the reader to laugh, cry, or both. Those whose stories aren’t included in the print edition may be considered for future Quiltfolk projects.

Those whose stories are selected will work with Quiltfolk’s Editor in Chief Mary Fons to develop and prepare the work for publication.

To be considered, you must provide a minimum of three (3) pertinent images with your submission. If you’re unsure how to upload images, don’t worry; our contact information can be found on the submission form to follow.

You may submit up to two (2) stories for consideration. Each story submission must be submitted separately.

We are planning to print 6-8 reader-submitted stories in Issue 16: Family. The issue will be published October 1st, 2020. Those whose stories are selected and see the editing process through will receive 20 copies of Issue 16: Family and a complimentary 2-year subscription to Quiltfolk.
