Meet Jenni & Kay
About Your Hosts
Jenni and Kay have come a long way in the quilting world since they met at tap dancing class over 15 years ago. They began with a teaching studio in their home town of Ilkley on the edge of the Yorkshire Moors in the UK ten years ago, inspiring many people to make their first quilt, and engaging in numerous community projects.
In 2020, they teamed up with iconic British brand, Liberty Fabrics to publish the book Quilting with Liberty Fabrics which was the first quilting book in the Company’s 150-year illustrious history. During the pandemic, their online teaching skills blossomed, and a workshop about a quilt made by local heroines the Brontë sisters was the perfect beginning to their relationship with Quiltfolk.
Between then and now, they have travelled the world seeking out brilliant teachers, and exclusive projects to share with their ever-expanding body of students. They pride themselves on making each experience down-to-earth, approachable and lots of fun. Quiltfolk Education has become a place for everyone to grow personally and engage with like-minded people, whilst embracing new skills and pushing creative boundaries.
All the content Jenni and Kay produce is driven by curiosity, and they still find plenty of time to go out dancing together!
