This month's prompt was a non-fiction book, so I chose to do Wintering by Katherine May. I found the perfect white fabric with coral lines in my stash, which I then appliqued with fusible web and did thread painting for the stem and veins. Couldn't stop with one this month though! For Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer, I drafted an FPP pattern for the braid and hand appliqued the shadow below.
