Month One I was reading Golden Girl, which happened to be part of my Book of the Month group. Seemed very appropriate. I pieced the top fabric to give more of the sky, and have the subtle white spots to represent the "from beyond". The authors's main character is victim to a hit and run at start of story. I'm going to try and read the books of the blocks I do. I feel I can give them a truer interpretation. I used the curved piecing, cutting big and then positioning the dark blue line represent the shoreline so her legs are on the beach. I used fusible to cut out her figure; wanted it bigger and used wool felt. I also used fusible for the yellow line representing the title of the book and a song called Golden Girl that was pivotal in plot. This hasn't been shown in the recording yet -- I'm one that will be a least a couple of mouths behind! And appreciate your "no pressure" message.
