Margaret Pomeroy
Wonderful Canadian novel by Sylvia Tyson, known as part of the folk duo Ian and Sylvia. This is a multi-generational novel depicting a family's migration from England to Canada, Montreal initially, then Toronto. The family, the Joyners, is connected by music, a journal and by one long lived violin. Fiddle music is an important foundation in Canadian social history, encompassing the traditions of the British Isles, Europe and our first nations.
