I decided to try out the braid technique for the book, The Giver of the Stars by Jojo Moyes and cover by Amanda Dewey. This book is a companion to my nonfiction quilt block titled Down Cut Shin Creek by Kathi Applet and Jeanne Cannella Schmitzer. Both books are about the Pack Horse Librarians of Kentucky.
