My Patchwork and Prose Block for The Goldfinch. I struggled with finding the right fabric for this one (especially wanted the text, since the cover is minimal). I then spotted the text fabric on someone else's quilt (margaretfleisher , I think!) - so I had to do some research and acquisition. I also made the opening revealing the bird into a flap, since it was torn on the original. This is one of my favorite books and I lost the dust jacket, so had to look it up online to get the image.
