For the book about quilting, I picked up Plain and Simple by Sue Bender. Might not have chosen it without Jenni's mention of it during the class. But I liked it, especially her use near the end of the 9-patch pattern as structure for what she had learned from the Amish. I used this block to explore layout, plus some math to work out the measurements for said layout.
