Prompt: Design a book cover. My copy of No Time on My Hands by Grace Snyder, doesn’t have a cover so it was the perfect choice for this task. I wanted some type of Flying Geese pattern since it’s the pattern Grace made for her niece after her sister Florry passed away. As I chose the side fabrics I was thinking of the life that Grace and Bert lived…working their land, raising their children, and being equal partners. The cool blues represent Bert, and the warmer florals represent Grace. The dark fabric represents that although there were many joys in their life, it wasn’t without very hard times and sadness.
