I'm a longtime fan of THE SCARLET LETTER, and decided to resurrect my hand needle turn applique skills for this block. To find the "perfect" letter A, I googled "free fonts," and just kept scrolling until I found one I thought would work, fiddled with the size when printing it, and went from there. The background fabric is a hand dyed piece I've had in my stash for at least forty years, from Lunn Fabrics. The block finishes 10 x 12 inches.
