A great quilt can feel like a good friend—and that’s what Elaine is giving. Measuring 90 x 104 inches, this traditional quilt, in the (unfortunately named but still super pretty) Hearts & Gizzards pattern, was remarkably well executed by the maker of the original top, both in terms of the blocks and the full construction. Elaine features a blend of hand and machine piecing. And the alternating pattern, almost an optical illusion, is softened by the pinky-peach and creamy-white fabric choices. Elaine is a friend, indeed.
Elaine is backed and bound in Kona Eggshell. The Bubble Vine Meander pattern was longarm quilted by Kennette Blotzer of Tall Trees Quilting and adds a playful, airy feel to the quilt.
