EQ8 lets you see your finished quilt before you start sewing! You can choose any layout style—whether it is traditional, modern, or a completely custom design—using the 6,700+ blocks from the library or by drawing your own. (EQ8 has full drawing capabilities for pieced and appliqué blocks.) You can also add fabrics to make your quilt really come to life! Use the scaling, straightening, and cropping tools to make sure your fabric looks as lifelike as possible, or use any of the 6,000+ fabrics built right into the library. When you are ready to sew, print the block templates, rotary cutting charts, or foundation paper piecing patterns in any size you need. And get yardage estimates based on fabric width or fat quarters—EQ does all the math for you. Turn your virtual quilt into a cherished treasure with EQ!
This step-by-step lesson book is the best starter book for learning EQ8 software. The lessons are easy to follow and cover the basics of each of the three main worktables of EQ8. You will design quilts, draw blocks, import fabric scans, print templates, rotary cutting charts, and foundation paper piecing patterns, and calculate yardage estimates.
Even if you’ve owned earlier versions of EQ, this book will introduce new features, while refreshing and energizing your approach to quilt design.
This 128-page fully illustrated color book has a convenient spiral binding that allows pages to rotate 360 degrees and lie flat.
This special bundle also includes a 30% off coupon for the Dear Jane add-on. Inspired by Brenda Manges Papadakis’ Dear Jane book, this add-on for EQ8 gives you all 225 blocks and the full quilt layout designed by Jane A. Stickle during the American Civil War. In EQ8, you can print templates, foundation patterns, and rotary cutting charts for the blocks at any size you need. Play around with the quilt layout, add your own fabrics, and make your own Dear Jane quilt!
