Hexies Hardcover Notebook
Sweet, scrappy hexies pop when placed against high-contrast fabrics. A photo of this gorgeous Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt, hanging in all its glory in Sally Welch’s dining room, appeared on the cover of Quiltfolk’s debut publication Issue 01: Oregon and the opening pages of Quiltfolk Life: Volume One. “My heart’s desire is hand’s work,” Sally shared during her interview. You can now admire her hand-stitched quilt (a classic Quiltfolk image) on the cover of your new notebook!

Gwen Marston Hardcover Notebook
A 10-quilt series stirs in the breeze on a clothesline at the late Gwen Marston’s home on Michigan’s Beaver Island. Over the course of her lifelong career as an artist, teacher, and author, Gwen returned again and again to the dignity of the simple square, using color and scale to find beautiful and infinite variety in her work. The results were epoch-defining for quilts in 20th-century America. These quilts made an appearance in Issue 08: Michigan, Quiltfolk Life: Volume One, and the striking images of the backs were featured on our very first Quiltfolk Puzzle (01 | Quilt Backs). The front of Gwen’s noteworthy quilts are now displayed on this one-of-a-kind notebook.

About Denik
“Your drawing would look awesome on a notebook.” Even though he had been told that he shouldn’t pursue art as a career, it only took encouragement from one person for Denik Founder, Tyler, to build a brand around creative, cause-based notebooks. Tyler, and his cofounder, Jake, gathered a team of artists and started designing and binding notebooks. And with each item sold, a portion of the proceeds was set aside to fund the building of a school in Mali, Africa. His vision has blossomed from a grassroots street team of book-slingers to a community of artists and creative professionals. The mission of “funding education projects through art and creativity” has spread to artists, customers, corporations, and partners worldwide. The Denik Movement has successfully funded five schools, demonstrating that art can change the world.

This exclusive, hardcover notebook is lined with dot grid pages that lay completely flat for easy sketching. And it gets better: Denik is based in Utah, so all notebooks are made in the USA!
