The first installment in our Quilted American Landmarks series features an American icon that requires little introduction. Standing 305-feet tall from ground to torch on an island in Upper New York Bay, the Statue of Liberty — or Lady Liberty, as she’s also known — casts a beacon of light across the world, from our nation’s largest city.
Perched upon a pedestal, the universal symbols of friendship and freedom take center stage as she overlooks the New York City skyline. Dramatic hues of blues and greys are contrasted with the glow of golden yellow to create a geometrically complex structure of shapes — reminding us of the hope that comes with each new day.
About the Series
In 2019, we commissioned the gifted digital artist Garth Glazier to create an original art series called Quilted American Landscapes.
We are proud to announce that our work with Glazier is continuing with a new series, this time focusing on the country's notable landmarks. In partnership with Quiltfolk, Garth has designed six new pieces of art to celebrate America's beauty once again.
Similar to last time, production is limited for each design. But unlike last time, you now have the option to purchase smaller 8” x 10” versions of each print for just $22. Full-sized prints (18” x 24”) are also available.
