About Jen Lopez
For Jen, quilting started as a distraction from her stressful career, but she fell in love with the craft and decided to make a new, entrepreneurial career out of it. The time she spent illustrating patterns reminded her of her college days as a cartoonist for MIT’s Voo Doo magazine, the school’s journal of humor. So she put two and two together and combined her talents to create By the Yard—now a recurring feature in C&T Publishing, The Country Register, and Model Railroader magazine
