When Quiltfolk Founder Michael McCormick’s mother-in-law made darling jackets for his two daughters, we knew we had to track down the original pattern and offer it to our readers.
And we are thrilled to share that we did just that! After learning that Jackie Clark designed the Cute as a Button Baby Jacket pattern in the early 2000s, and it was now out of print, we worked with her to reprint it for our creative community.
The printed Cute as a Button Baby Jacket pattern is now available here, in our Quiltfolk store. This is a fun, accessible project for quilters of all skill levels, even if you’re not experienced with garment making. It’s also the perfect opportunity to pull from your scrap bins or utilize meaningful bits of fabrics from past projects for a sentimental touch.
Jackie’s printed instructions include a full-page, 24 x 36 inch printed pattern with easy-to-follow instructions for sizes ranging between infant - 4T. The final result is a hooded, fully lined jacket for babies and toddlers. Just sew it up with boy or girl fabrics and trims, and you will have a fashionable jacket for the precious little one(s) in your life.
