In trying to assemble my BOM Break the Rules blocks, I have reviewed some of the wonderful lessons. I loved Month 3 and Freddy Moran’s wonderful advice. Although not homework for the BOM, I decided to attempt a Freddy Moran style face. Oh my… what fun! She started out as a 9” x 11” block for my quilt top but has now been changed to a small wall hanging for my quilt room with of course a red and black border. Meet Grace! Portrait of Grace! She is a quiet, older lady who loves color but tends to fade into the background. She is an artist and rebel at heart and does not always follow the rules. She believes creativity can be very quiet until it breaks out. Quilting for Grace allows that breakout! Her red glasses are a tribute to Freddy Moran!
