I arranged my book cover blocks around a center block of my cat sitting on a stack of books. This quilt is more personal than I expected, it includes favorite books and my faithful feline. As I hustled to finish I felt a rush of pride for incorporating images that were important to me. The design choices for this quilt were all personal preferences. The blocks do not relate to each other in color or design, they relate to each other because they are in my book collection. A curiously satisfying project, maybe it will shift my future design perspective.
